Everything you need to know

We’re sure you’ve carefully planned your hunting trip, and now it’s time to think about your helicopter transport to and from your block. Keep in mind that the helicopter has limits on cargo size, weight, and the number of passengers. To avoid leaving anything behind, consider packing light and efficiently.

What you need to know

Here are a few important details you should know about your equipment before flying with us

Cargo

Large hard containers take up space – consider changing them for large waterproof carry bags that will stack better. Buckles and fasteners must be securely clipped down. You must have no loose items; everything must be packed in your baggage.

Chilly Bins/ Drinks

Plastic bins don’t make good use of space, and when full they are heavy. Put your chilled items in zip-up, soft cooler bags as they take up less room. If you are going to be taking drinks, bring cans not glass bottles. The glass is heavier, more dangerous and takes up more space.

Rubbish

Do the right thing, take all of your rubbish out. Rubbish bags must be double bagged to ensure that we don’t get spills in the helicopter, this could incur extra charges.

Animal Carcasses

If weight limits are met on the inward leg, there will not be much room for extra weight on the trip out. To reduce weight, bone carcasses out and place the meat in non-drip bags. We can take full carcasses as an extra load out with an underslung load, this is at an extra cost which your pilot can quote on.

Rifle Bags & Covers
Rifles must have the bolt and magazine removed. Hard plastic covers are heavy and take up space within the aircraft. Plan to bring your rifle in a soft zip-up type cover.

Pickups

If your aircraft is overdue for pickup, please do not panic. Remain at your campsite/agreed pick-up location. Our company systems and staff know you are waiting, and will arrange to collect you as soon as possible. Many factors, such as weather and unscheduled maintenance can contribute to an overdue aircraft.
